How do I enroll my student in your school?
To enroll a child in a public school in Missouri, you generally need to demonstrate that the child lives in the district and is domiciled there. This typically means the child lives with their parent, military guardian, or court-appointed legal guardian. Some exceptions to this residency requirement exist, such as for homeless students, those participating in interdistrict transfer programs, or students placed in residential facilities for certain reasons. If you do not meet these exemptions, you may need to provide documentation such as a utility bill, lease agreement, or occupancy permit to prove residency. Please visit the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's website here for more details. Additionally, a child is generally eligible for kindergarten entry if they turn five before the first day of August of the school year beginning in that calendar year. Missouri does have a compulsory attendance law that states students between the ages of 7 and 17 must be enrolled and regularly attend school. At Lafayette County C-1, enrollment for school begins in each school building's main office. To enroll your child, please contact the offices.
