
This Sunday, September 28, is Paint the Streets and the Bonfire/Pep Rally, sponsored by the Husker Athletic Booster Club. Paint the Streets will begin at 6pm in front of the high school. The Bonfire/Pep Rally will follow and take place in the park this year next to the 4-H Pole Barn. We hope to see you there!

Homecoming Update: This Sunday, September 28, the Booster Club is hosting Paint the Streets and the Bonfire/Pep Rally. Paint the Streets will begin at 6pm on 31st St. in front of the high school. The bonfire/pep rally will be held in the park next to the 4-H pole barn at around 7:30pm.

Attention Vo-Tech Students: Beginning this Friday, 9/26, you will be able to pick up a Grab and Go breakfast before leaving for Lex-La-Ray. Kitchen staff will meet you at the East Gym doors around 7:15 with a mobile cart so you can eat breakfast. Be sure to clean up after yourselves on the bus.

Husker Health students are reading a book called "Make Your Bed" where they learn how to take ownership and responsibility for all aspects of their lives, even the simple tasks like making their bed. Way to go, Huskers!

High School Peer Helpers is raising money to purchase tables for an outdoor classroom/lunch area for Middle and High School students. They are selling Husker blankets and headbands pictured below. Blankets are $30 and headbands are $10. Payments must be made by cash or check. If you are interested in ordering, please fill out the Google Form here-

Last night, Wyatt Copenhaver, Katelynn Davis, and Audrey Tinoco competed in the Area 6 Fall Public Speaking Contests at Sweet Springs. Wyatt won the Young Farmers/Young Farm Wives category and will move on to districts next week at Sedalia. Audrey placed third in Forest Products and was alternate to districts. Katelynn placed 7th in the Teach Ag category. Congratulations to these students!!!

Some of our Husker Homeroom students had an opportunity to give thanks to our community partners and share cookies and kindness. Local organizations that were thanked included Wood & Huston Bank, the Higginsville Police Department, Cody Moss & State Farm Insurance, and the Higginsville Fire Department. Thanks to the entire Higginsville community for your support of our schools!
