Grandview Student Council Annual Food Drive
To help make the holidays happy for everyone in our community, we are collecting food items at school for families in Higginsville and Corder.
The students are asked to bring designated food items to school each day to be donated to our local food pantry. Students will bring the items to the front hallway each morning.
The class that collects the largest percentage of food items will have a pizza party courtesy of Grandview StuCo. The grade level with the largest percentage of food items will receive an ice cream treat courtesy of the Church Women of Higginsville and Corder.
Our goal as a school is to collect 1500 items.
The food pantry is in need of specific items and we have designated days to bring them: Monday, Dec. 9 canned vegetables & fruit
Tuesday, Dec. 10 peanut butter, saltine or graham crackers
Wednesday, Dec. 11 tuna/chicken helper & canned meat
Thursday, Dec. 12 spaghetti sauce (in cans), pasta, & ramen noodles
Friday, Dec. 13 soup (especially with meat in them), no cream soups please,
macaroni & cheese
If you forget to bring your items on the day designated, we will gladly accept them on another day.
Thank you for sharing your blessings with others!
